When we got Percy.
Percy has been part of our family for eight years now, and from the very beginning, he’s had a wild streak — a love for the outdoors and an irresistible urge to explore the world beyond our garden.
Originally, we only planned to get one cat. It was my daughter’s 15th birthday, and we’d decided to surprise her with a kitten. But on the day we visited the breeder, a message popped up on their page: a little striped tabby with striking green eyes had gone missing but had just been found again. The moment my son saw that post, we all knew — we wouldn’t be coming home with just one cat that day. And that’s how Percy, our unexpected adventurer, became part of the family.

In the daytime, Percy transforms from fearless explorer to professional napper. After all those night-time escapades, even the most extraordinary adventurer needs his beauty sleep. You’ll often find him stretched out in the sun, paws twitching as if he’s dreaming about his next quest.
But the moment he’s awake, Percy is back on patrol — tail high, eyes bright, scouting the nearby fields for new adventures… and perhaps the odd snack to refuel before his next great expedition. He’s as curious about the rustle of leaves as he is about the sound of a treat packet, and that mix of courage and mischief makes him the heart of every story we tell
